“They use high quality ingredients and bake their own bread. The burgers have a nice Kaiser roll bun and they make their own potato chips. ”

“This is a unique experience. A couple has a brewery on their farm that they operate out a small building adjacent to their garden. They typically have a small menu of farm-to-table / locally sourced food items. Their beer menu is experimental, and rarely consistent. The best beer I've had from them is the PB&J. Awesome food, really cool experience, and fantastic brews. We would recommend making the trip to County Monks Brewing at the Subiaco Abbey if you go to Prestonrose. They're in the same neighborhood!”

“The Trellis Room at Post Winery in Altus, AR is the best "farm-to-table" place to eat lunch and have a glass of wine! Everything is made from scratch. They have a lunch special or there are other items you can choose from. They try to use meat and produce from local farms including their own farm. Along side their vineyards is a big beautiful garden that produces okra, corn, summer and winter squash, kale, onions, tomatoes, pumpkins, cucumbers, peppers, asparagus, and black berries. And right outside The Trellis Room they grow their own herbs, such as rosemary, parsley, oregano, thyme, sage, savory, mint, and chives. I can't forget to mention they have the BEST sourdough bread EVER! and awesome peach cobbler made with peaches from a local orchard. The Trellis Room is open Tuesday-Friday for lunch only from 11:30am - 3:pm. It's best to call to reserve a plate. Altus is 28 miles from the Country Mountain Retreat, but it's a beautiful drive and while you're there you can tour the winery and taste wines at their tasting bar. There are four other wineries within a 5 mile radius that you can visit while you're down off the mountain. ”

“It's a beautiful abbey with lovely architecture. They grow organic grass fed black angus cattle and they make a Monk's hot sauce for sale that makes a great gitf. ”

“They have a fairly good selection of healthy brand foods. You can get POM pomegranite juice but the Coconut milk and almond milk may not always be available. They have Red Mill and a decent selection of organic fruits and veggies.”
