The Desert Rose Steakhouse/Pizza & Gastro Pub offers great traditional steakhouse/pizza and pub food. Also Sunday brunch, a sports bar, and frequent live music events. Worth a visit! Tip: And if you're so inclined, the next-door Desert Rose Cigar Lounge offers a large selection of cigars, 16 beers on tap, as well as choice Bourbon, Whisky, and Scotch!

One of the best places for off-the-beaten-path shopping, great dining, and cool events, Historic Downtown Glendale/Catlin Court offers a fantastic assortment of boutique stores and specialty shops. Also a good selection of historic buildings and examples of the "Bungalow" architectural style of the early 1900's. One of the best places for off-the-beaten-path shopping, great dining, and cool events, Historic Downtown Glendale/Catlin Court offers a fantastic assortment of boutique stores and specialty shops. Originally a 640-acre fruit farm founded in 1886, the Sahuaro Ranch Park has had all of its historical structures restored and now comprises 17-acres and features 13 original buildings, a rose garden, barnyard and historic orchards. TIP: Admission is free and its a great place to relax and watch the peacocks!

Northern Crossing shopping mall is within walking distance and offers dining, banking, and shopping from 25+ stores, including Walmart (also includes a deli, pharmacy and auto center), Carl's Jr., Chipotle Mexican Grill, Golden Corral, Taco Bell/Long John Silver's, Lowe's, Firehouse Subs, Luna Pizza, McDonald's, Ross, Subway, and Wells Fargo. TIP: To avoid crowds, visit Walmart early! Its hours are: 6AM-midnight. (I.e. it's NOT open 24-hours)
