Roberts is a local food store group. This is the local closest grocery with everyting you'll need. Although small, they pack stuff up to the rafters, so there is a suprising variety of goods. They have an excellent meat market, with fresh fish and seafood as well, and a deli section wtih daily prepared foods. Also a remarkable wine corner....like I said, everything you could need. If you do need drugs, the corner building is a chain drugstore for that "other" stuff!

Do you want takee outee? You can walk to this place from the House on Pritchard. it is directly behind us, and has very good quality Chinese for good prices. You can dine in, too, although limited. Great option if you prefer this to Ubereats and like the idea of a short walk before dinner.

Again, the neighborhood delivers with a great world class bakery. This a home grown local boy made good story, with gourmet artisanal breads. Worth the stroll over to check it out one morning. You might go back again.

You are in Leonidas, named for the famous Spartan General who held off the invading Persian hordes at the Hot Gates of Thermopolis. Its a residential neighborhood, with small shops and some restaurants, but is very well located in the city for access. The streets are quiet, and great for strolling.

Inexpensive, sometimes on weeknights there are Latin and jazz dance lessons. A bar, and some bar food (you know, burgers, fries, dogs). It is run by the same folk that run the nice restaurant across the parking lot. Ye Olde College Inn. Something for everyone on this corner.

Do you go "junktiqueing" ? If so, you can walk to this one from the House. An overstuffed warehouse full of other peoples cast offs. the Occasional wife does estate sales, and gets some good junk in their warehouse. Its three blocks behind the house at Pritchard Place.
