If you've never walked behind a water fall well now is your chance to walk behind two!
Starting at the Gwongorella picnic area, this route is bursting with Springbrook’s heritage-listed rainforest flowers, shrubs and trees, all on display in an accessible four-kilometre circuit. This walk has a few (okay, a LOT of) steps down into the gorge, but it is totally worth it for the incredible view of Purling Brook Falls from the forest floor, and the lush tropical greenery fed by the waterfall. Just don’t forget you’ll be hiking back out!

Sightseeing
Accessible via a short walk. On the Best of All lookout track, venture through ancient Antarctic beech forest to a view of northern New South Wales dominated by Mount Warning, the lava plug at the centre of the erosion caldera of the extinct Tweed shield volcano. The small pocket of Antarctic beech (Nothofagus) forest is one of our remaining links to the ancient forests of Gondwana that occurred here during a past cooler climate. Nothofagus forests were once widespread across the continent and provided a habitat for many animals that have long since disappeared from our landscape.

It"s worth the stop, especially on a clear day as you'll be able to see all the way to the Gold Coast.
Whilst you are there you can drop into the Visitors Centre.
