Local Bus Services

The X55 is a quick and easy bus ride into the heart of Edinburgh costing around £6.50 return. The local bus company that runs this service is Stagecoach. The bus stop is at St Leonards and is a short walk from the house, approximately 15 minutes. Stagecoach also provides an East of Scotland Day Rider pass costing £11 that allows hop on/hop off travel across most of the East coast region, the 7 day version costs £36.50

Local Train Services

Dunfermline City station, not to be confused with Dunfermline Queen Margaret, is a short 15 minute walk from the house. Dunfermline City station is on the Fife Circle route and also provides a quick connection to Edinburgh to either Haymarket or Waverley stations. A cheap day return can be purchased for as little as £7.50
