Great Smoky Mountain National Park

Cades Cove is an isolated valley located in the Tennessee section of the Great Smokey Mountain National Park. The valley was home to numerous settlers before the formation of the national park. Due to its well preserved homesteads, scenic mountain views, abundant wildlife, Cades Cove today is the single most popular destination for visitors to the park, attracting over two million visitors a year. A one-way, 11 mile paved loop around Cades Cove drag thousands of visitor daily, and can take over four hours to traverse during tourist season.
