Parking isn't great and fills up quick
Parking is free in the surrounding streets but it will fill up quick - same with the carparks. If you are going further afield maybe look at getting a local taxi company to drive you there and back.

Bring some wet shoes
The beach is pebbly so if you want to go for a swim we recommend bringing or buying some wet shoes. Whitstable is a fab place to have a swim but very uncomfortable to walk into without shoes!
