Its a beautiful lake with a beach for swimming and some nice hiking trails. It has a large campsite so it can get busy on summer weekends. If you're planning a longer hike please check the park website for the condition the trail before you go. There are often washouts and closures due to bears etc.

Note that they don't serve food here but they often have a food truck on site. In winter you can cross country ski in their fields and then drop in for a beer.....
