One of the smallest museums around! Tells the history of a meteorite that impacted around 200million years ago. Many of the local buildings are built with "meteorite impactive rocks" including the gites; these rocks were created when sand was infused by the impact of the meteorite hitting the earth and are very interesting in their structure.

Ah, the velo-rail; good old fashioned entertainment for a few hours, cycling along an old disused railway line on a 5 seater 'wagon' ~ take a picnic and stop and rest at the halfway point. Works best with 4 / 5 reasonably fit adults or teenagers, as it does have its inclines; but what great fun!!

Works best with 4 / 5 reasonably fit adults or teenagers, as it does have its inclines; but what great fun!!
Right on our doorstep; enjoy the experience of lake swimming in the warm waters just 3km from Gites Limousin. Only 5 minutes by car or, a lovely leisurely 30 minute stroll through the countryside. With a sandy beach, a little bistro in the summer months, pedalo's and a small childrens play area; you can quite easily spend a full day swimming, playing and sunbathing.
