Clingan’s is a great stop for coffee and delicious food part way up to King’s Canyon National Park! My son Noah just stopped there and said he had the best breakfast sandwich he had ever tasted! And it is a darling location! The only drawback is that the hours are short… I believe they are open 8am- 2pm in the summer and more sporadically during other seasons! If you notice that it is open as you drive by, consider yourself lucky and stop for a treat or a coffee!

Svensk Butik is our local Swedish gift shop and also the place to buy KINGSBURG HONEY which is produced right here on our own organic farm! June Hess, the proprietor and a long time family friend, is one of the main folks in our little town that keeps the Swedish culture alive! She is a great person to ask about anything Kingsburg! They sell Swedish curiosities along with food and clothes and books and Christmas items! They have a Norwegian section in the back if that suits your fancy.... just don’t ask too loud where it is, so the Swedes don’t get up in arms! ;-)

Parks & Nature

The King’s River is just steps away from your door here at the Jackson Family Farmstay! With its watershed coming from the great Sierra Nevada Mountain Range it winds its way down, with cold clear water to bring life to the Valley and provide the farmers in our area with the water necessary to feed America with the abundant fruit and various other agricultural products grown right here on the farm. The pure water coming out of your tap in your farmstay is clear and delicious and comes right out of the ground after falling as snow or rain in the Sierra Mountains and being filtered through many layers of sand to bring health and refreshment to your body! In the summer the King’s River provides a fun place for all kinds of water adventures like boating, skiing and rafting to take place. In the fall and winter, when the water needed for ag subsides and the river gets much more shallow, the water gets warmer and is a fabulous place to wade, explore and even fish during certain times. The constantly changing river creates many opportunities for family adventure and learning along with rest and relaxation. It is a gift to us all that we feel privileged to enjoy in all its seasons!

Everyone needs to see Yosemite once in their lifetimes! It is a mere 3 short hours from our farm. The views are stunning, the waterfalls are magnificent, especially in the Spring, and you can catch an inexpensive shuttle from nearby cities if you don't want to brave the crowds in the summer.

Entertainment & Activities

Bravo is an awesome place for families to eat and visit and is about 10 min away from our farm. They have yummy food and delicious local ice cream to try! They also have animals and a fun treehouse and some games for kids, like a Disney style shooting range with fun surprises. All the vintage farm memorabilia is interesting. The cheese is delicious! (The beginning of this iconic find goes back to our own Farmer Rob’s father and grandfather, who started The Hitching Post that laid the foundation for what Bravo Farms is today!
