This is a refreshing local coffee shop and an alternative to Starbucks! Located at 1221 South Main St, it's just a few blocks walking through my neighborhood to get there.
This is a place to go when you are ready to take some quiet time, to go inward, perhaps to grow, to learn a contemplative practice, or to congregate with others who enjoy the mindfulness practices of inner peace. Many classes are free. Groups that meet weekly are open to beginners as well as practiced meditators. Food Scene
This place is quick because you order at the counter, then sit in a large dinning area. This place has a good bakery - good bread, coffee, bagels, pastries and lunch items. Wifi is free. I like to order the soup in a bread bowl.

Family is from Nepal and they offer authentic cuisine from Nepal. Modest restaurant located in a strip mall which often serves buffet style. Prices are reasonable. Great house-made chai and naan (bread). Check hours for open times.

I usually choose to eat here on my birthday in the upstairs bistro. It's more than a good restaurant. It has natural, organic and imported cheeses, cured meats, specialty oils, spices, olives, chocolate, and other unique specialty foods. "La Fromagerie", the European Marketplace, open to the public, features the largest walk in refrigerated cheese and cured meat market in Colorado. Touting an inventory of over 350 cheeses, a broad selection of European housewares, linens, unique childrens items, perfumes, soaps and an authentic French cafe "Bistrot des Artistes" it has become "the destination" for foodies and people who are looking for a store that is not from a "cookie cutter" design.

Parks & Nature
This park has a children's wading pool, picnic area, playground, and bike trail that runs along Left Hand Creek. Also in the park is a commemorative pagoda, "Tower of Compassion". The beautiful pagoda was erected in 1973 by Jim and George Kanemoto and is surrounded by cherry trees. These 2 Japanese men contributed land and services to our community. They had a great business presence here and built a Buddhist Temple as well. My home is on "Kane" drive which is derived from this family name.

Over 40 local restaurants, locally owned shops and boutiques, brewpubs, public art & historic walking tours, Longmont’s quaint, historic downtown is a must-see. Only 1.5 miles from my home, for free you can borrow one of my extra bicycles to get there in about 15 minutes or take a free bus. One of "26 Certified Creative Districts" in the state of Colorado, downtown Longmont is home to art galleries, two theaters, music venues and businesses that foster all levels of creativity. I recommend The Crack Pot where you can paint your own new coffee cup! There's a vintage trolley running Sat and Sun from 12pm-9pm for a safe ride to all 10 breweries, 2 distilleries and 1 cidery (cost $15).
