Many count this as one of the top three restaurants in DC. As a result, it is almost impossible to get a reservation short of 30 days out. We recommend going early (around 5) to see if you can get a table. Or, sit at the bar. The food, the wine, the service; everything is amazing and close to perfect.

This is my favorite place to hang out in the neighborhood. They have a great happy hour from 5-7 Monday - Friday and 3:30 - 6:30 weekends. The food is all cooked in their woodburning oven and they have the best patio in the neighborhood. Jordan (the owner) and Leia (manager) are incredibly hospitable. Please tell them you are my guest and I highly recommended it, if you go.

They have delicious baked goods and make a mean breakfast sandwich. Note they are closed on Tuesdays. They import their bagels from New Jersey and they are delicious!

They have really good ramen - and incredible drinks. One of the best happy hours around and it runs from 4-7 every night. In nice weather try and catch a seat on the patio.

Few tourists go here - but this was Lincoln's "Summer White House." Amazing history and place. Also - walk the cemetery while there - it has fascinating tombstones and memorial statures.

Rock Creek Park is a fantastic and huge urban park. Hiking trails, great biking trails; whole section closed on weekends and holidays for bikes. Also stables where you can ride horses on the horse trails. Check out the nature center, Mill and the Zoo
