The Rialto Theater originated in 1919 and began as a silent film theater. After changing hands several times, the building is now owned by the city and has maintained its historic charm. The theater is at the heart of downtown Loveland where there are other shops and restaurants. There are a number of free and/or cheap events in addition to their scheduled music, theater and dance shows. They also put on free concerts at the Foote Lagoon in the summer.
