My favorite beach is Carlsbad. It's less crowded than most others that are about an hour away. Parking is free on the street. It's also a little better for the young ones (in terms of bathing suit choices and obnoxious teenagers.) I like to park on Sycamore Street and walk across the street, down the stairs, and relax there on the beach. Bathrooms are a short walk from Sycamore stairs without all the crowds closer to the bathrooms. You are also a short walk from downtown Carlsbad where you can eat at restaurants and get a coffee. Make sure you visit Pizza Port when you're there.

Membership warehouse store. Don't go to the Temecula store. The Elsinore one is way less crowded both in the store and on the streets getting there.

If you are a musician, there aren't many Guitar Centers around. We have one 5 minutes away. They have lots and lots of instruments and accessories.

Amazing prices. It's about a 15 minute drive, but so worth it if you want to grab some groceries. Examples of low prices: eggs are about $1/dozen and avocados often cost close to 50c each.

Entertainment & Activities

I take my son here to play skee ball. They have mini golf, batting cages, kiddie rides, full arcade, disgusting food, go-carts, and laser tag. In the summer they have a mini water park.
