It’s not fancy, but it’s the hub of the island. Grab firewood and ice here. Features suburban food staples and a little bit of produce. Deli counter makes prepared foods and island gossip if you’re friendly. Beer and wine (no hard liquor). Souvenirs. ATM in the DVD area. Post office. Gas pumps. Hardware and outdoor gear out back. Don’t miss the bulletin board for local info.

Affectionately known as “The Riv” (yes, it’s also the name of the area and near the Riv office—it’s confusing), this is the primary restaurant on the island. Featuring a full bar and lakefront dining, this is also where bingo, karaoke, and most concerts happen. You can also watch sports when big games are on. The island’s favorite band is No Rules and they play a few times a year, it’s a pretty fun scene.

Within Ubering range of the ferry. Take the Sounder commuter train to/from Seattle on weekdays. Approximately $15 Uber ride to the ferry. A good way for a late friend to get to the island, just pick them up from the ferry dock on Anderson after they walk on the ferry.
