Rent a kayak and take a hike. This gem is right in the Dells and is BEAUTIFUL! So much beauty, so little time! The glasslike surface of the lake makes it a stress free place to be on the water. If you want to splurge and treat yourself May-Oct, Ishnala is a gorgeous supper club right on the lake with world class food and service. Also, the best old fashioned in the state! Brandy sweet is the Wisconsin specialty. Check out Fern Dell Gorge (the trail on the top in the summer, in the gorge in the winter).

Follow the trail along the swamp, and then wind back around on the top of the cliff after climbing the stairs at the end of the trail. This path is a bit strenuous and can be tricky navigating.

Love the patio! There is a also a wine bar here. The hours on the wine bar are limited. The Keg has AWESOME pizza and is a really fun place to hang out. There are both indoor and outdoor seating.

Really neat self serve wine bar. Great place to hang out over a glass of local wine or wine from afar.

Wonderful country winery. This place is family friendly with a fun gift shop and live music on the weekends. They do close rather early, so make sure to go early enough in the day-and for sure to the tasting!

Reedsburg is nearby and has a picturesque downtown. You'll find lots of cute shops. You can also rent bikes here and ride on the Elroy Sparta trail, part of a huge trail system that is part of the "rails to trails" program. You can also access the trail in several other towns.

Baraboo is a town nearby famous for the Ringling Bros Circus. You can still see the circus here along with a couple of museums. Baraboo also has several outdoor events in the summer, a really neat old fashioned downtown square with lots of unique shopping and dining and is also home to Devils Lake State park. This park is stunning and has some easy thru challenging trails along with a pretty like and some crazy rock formations. PLEASE be careful on the rocks-people do silly things and fall off of them more than you'd think. You can also take rock climbing class here.

What to bring and be aware of...
The Dells gets really busy in the summer. Plan to make reservations at area restaurants. Also pack sunscreen, bug spray and towels for the beaches and waterparks. Please also be super careful by the river. If you plan to boat or swim, you MUST wear a life jacket. The WI River is beautiful, but the currents are very dangerous. Mirror Lake, Devils Lake and Lake Delton may be safer options for swimming.
I supply 3 rolls of TP/bath, 1 roll paper towel, hand soap in all baths, 1 sm bottle Dawn dish soap, ~ 10 Cascade pacs, ~5 trash bags, trial size shampoo and conditioner.
