Small historic museum with nice garden and cafe, tucked away in the Village. The building used to house the parish workhouse, and was later a police station. Has amazing maps showing how the local landscape has changed with urbanisation.

Lovely 12th century church and fascinating graveyard in Walthamstow Village. Opposite is the old Tudor house and if you turn right out of the graveyard you will pass pretty cottages and the Vestry House Museum. Walk down St Mary’s Path to get to Walthamstow Central station or wander around the village to Orford Road interesting shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants.
