Its located in the park under the Euromast. Have a seat in one of the many folding chairs or inside. Parkcafé Parqiet works mainly with local suppliers, so everthing is extra fresh!

This iconic building located on the Kop van Zuid used to house the offices of the Holland America Line. Many ships to America departed from this spot. Now it is a hotel with big rooms, all uniquely decorated. Hotel New York is a great place to spend a sunny afternoon on the terrace overlooking the Maas. There us a nice area for kids to run around. The hotel has a lovely shop as well. Don't forget to take the watertaxi back to the city center!

Rotterdam zoo (Diergaarde Blijdorp) is one of the most beautiful and extensive zoo's in the Netherlands. There are different areas in the zoo: Oceanium, Arctica, North America, South America, Africa, Europe and Asia. There are a number of catering facilities spread throughout the park and there is a large outdoor playground for the children. Special tours can be booked for those who would like to take a look behind the scenes.

Transport
It's easy to get around Rotterdam by public transport. You can buy an OV chipcard at Rotterdam train station and load some money on it. You can then travel by bus, tram and metro.
Bike Rental
If you are visiting Rotterdam and would like to explore the city by bike, use the apps for (electric) share bikes such as Donkey Republic or Lime.
You can also take the Watertaxi Rotterdam to go places. Only EUR 5.50 pp if you travel within Zone 1! You can book taxi rides through their website. On board you can pay with debit, credit cards or cash.

Museumpark
If you visited the Kunsthal walk back to the city center through Museumpark where you will find Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen, an impressive building sheeted with mirrors which reflects the Rotterdam skyline. Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen is the first art storage facility in the world that offers access to the museum’s complete collection. Once finished you can browse amongst 151,000 artworks, alone or with a guide. Reservations are necessary.

Hop-on hop-off historical tram tour
The historical tram passes all the major sights and attractions: Erasmus Bridge, Museum Rotterdam, Maritime Museum, City Hall, the Coolsingel, Miniworld Rotterdam, the Cube Houses, the Old Harbour, Kunsthal, Museum Boijmans - Van Beuningen, the Chabot Museum, the Natural History Museum, the Netherlands Architecture Institute, Rotterdam Central Station etc.. The starting point of the tour is located opposite the Spido Harbour Tours office, but you can board the tram anywhere along the route. Just buy your ticket from the tram driver.

Free things to do & see in Rotterdam

3.Rotterdam Discovery is a free exhibition in the basement of Rotterdam Tourist Information.
4.Art Evening in the Witte de With quarter every Friday. The free tour starts at 7pm from the Witte de With/TENT desk, Witte de Withstraat 50 (no reservations needed).
5.Historic Delfshaven which is the oldest part of Rotterdam.
