They have great pizza and in-house baked goods. They also brew their own beer, and they serve wine. A lot of locals tend to eat here so it’s a good place to get a look at the downtown social scene. Also, on Sundays they make the best croissants. But get there no later than 10am as they sell out. :)

Best sushi in town hands down. Usually you do have to call in advance for a reservation. However, if they are booked you can show up before they open (I would suggest at least 30 min prior) and put your name down on a waiting list outside the restaurant for bar seating. If show up early enough you should have no problem getting in.

I love this place for wholesome american food. They are very consistent and always prepare delicious dishes. All of these restaurants are very close walking distance from the apartment as well.

Best coffee in town. I heard they also started doing a brunch on the weekends that is supposed to be really good as well. Super close to the apartment.

If you’re looking a healthy fast food option, this is it. Owned by Israelis, you can be sure you’re getting an authentic middle eastern falafel. They also have a kebab plate as well and I believe their meat options are organic.

Beautiful walk, serene atmosphere, clean air, sounds of deer creek below. The trail access is also in downtown Nevada city, so no driving necessary to get here. The suspension bridge allows access to the other side of the hill which will also lead you back to town. Feel free to ask me for walking directions. Or you can look up access through googling ‘tribute trail.’
