Lucky enough to have TWO cafes in our small town - this one has great salads and sandwiches for a quick lunch or dinner, plus baked goods for a treat anytime. Adjacent to Hesston College and Schowalter Villa - about a 3 minute bike ride from the house :)

The Arboretum is a prairie gem that we are fortunate to have in our town. The paved half-mile trail around the pond and grounds is a great place for walking or biking. Turtles and fish are grateful for guests who come with bread crumbs to feed them from the island on the pond.

This Swedish town is a fun place to spend an afternoon if you like unique shops, good art, and lots of local flavor. Two favorites are Connected - a fair trade artisan shop, and Small World Gallery, featuring Jim Richardson, a local photographer for National Geographic.
