Located in the picturesque Sparrow's Nest Gardens in North Lowestoft. The Maritime Museum is a wonderful record of Lowestoft's heritage. We enjoyed the video footage of the hey days when Lowestoft was a thriving Victorian resort and the stories of the Scottish Herring Girls , who travelled to Lowestoft to gut, salt and pack the herring catch in the summer months.
