City/town information

Great Chishill is a small picturesque village on a hill near Cambridge and Royston. There are lots of lovely pubs to choose from in the area. Our local pub, The Pheasant, just 150m away, offers lunchtime and evening meals, (not Sunday evening). We are 2km from a local shop. Lovely walks and bike rides using footpaths and quiet country lanes. The village is the highest point in Cambridgeshire and has a very active local community. It has a unique post mill which has a fan tail which causes the entire mill turn such that it is facing into wind. The village parish church dates from the 13th century, and has 6 recently renovated bells.
