Definitely not family friendly. If you are looking to turn back time and revisit your high school years when you snuck out of your parents house to hit up a party - this is for you. Best night to come is Friday and Saturday night. Prepare to sweat .. a lot.

Extra chill, low key, incredible cocktails. You'll think you walked into Ron Burgundey's man cave decked out with oak, mahogany, and rich leather. Seriously, this place is probably the best cocktail bar/vibe in DC.

Middle eastern fusian food at its best. Call well ahead to get a reservation or try your luck at walking in and sitting at the bar. This place is tucked away down a cute ally next to a great beer garden (Franklin Hall) and coffee shop (La Colombe). If you're up for a night out after, make sure to check out The Gibson speakeasy 3 blocks south - or if you're really feeling funky continue on to U Street.

This is probably the best under the radar restaurant in DC. In fact, we're hesitant to tell you about it :) Everything here is AMAZING and its reasonable. You'll definately need an Uber or to drive here, but you will leave having your mind blown at the new flavors you experience!

Us Miami'ans were missing our Cuban coffee and Pastilitos for the longest ... Colada came to the rescue and is delivering some awesome and funky delicacies. Definately make sure to check out the roof deck if its open. Also, bonus points if you hit up Jubilee next door for some locally made ice cream. Not that I told you this, but it might be in your best interest to get coffee from Colada ... ice cream from jubilee .... and boom ... mix those two up.

Like bagels? Like breakfast/lunch? Like staring at Drake while you're liking both? This place is the talk of the town, there's a reason for it. Their food is legit and bagels, well they're as good as you are gonna get in DC. We still havent figured out why there's 50 pictures of Drake in here - but we cant blame him for liking a good bagel.

Looking for a little outdoor walking/hiking action? Billy Goat Trail A (make sure you go to "A" for the full experience) has got ya covered. There's a reason it's continuously named one of the most beautiful trails in the country. You'll experience walking along the ridge of the water, viewing white water rapids, a light-ish rock scramble, all while taking in the fresh air. There's many other hiking, walking, and biking opportunities in the area !

This place is a solid 5 hour strenuous hike, but man once you get to the top its epic. You get a full 360 degree view and on a clear day can see all the other mountain ranges. It's incredible. You should come ready to experience some medium grade rock scrambling and overall be in reasonable shape to complete. Note that we are pretty well vetted hikers, and even if we push ourselves, hard, there is no way we are getting this done in under 3.5 hours. The 5+ hour quote I provide is very real (but also bakes in some time for breaks, etc).

Super cool area just built 2-3 years ago - lots to see and do. Check out any of the local restaurant, catch a concert, roast marshmellows in the fire pits, options are endless. Protip - parking is stupid expensive if you park in the garage. Either try to park in the neighborhoods 2-3 blocks away or take a cab/uber.

Like food, indie shops, and checking out some awesome 'gram spots ? This is your holy grail. Inside is an indie style food market and the surrounding area has literally blown up in the last year and has breweries, distilleries, coffee shops, boutiques, etc. Things you should definately do when you get here: - Head to the roof of the Union Market and enjoy the view :) - Get an awesome cocktail from Cotton and Read or head to Last Call Bar for the cheapest beer and drinks in the city (seriouslly) - See if you can catch a movie at the Angelika pop up theater.

This is the most beautiful place in D.C. and you could spend the entire day in here and still not see everything. Acres upon acres of well kept and manicured landscaping, with different types of foliage, trees, and other vegetation as you go through here. This is a MUST NOT MISS. Protips: - You can rent bikes (bike share) to ride around the park here - Make sure to take time to visit the Magnolia section and prepare for nose-gasms - If the lavender/lilac fields are in bloom, absolutely do not miss them. They are behind Fern Valley - There is a BEAUTIFUL trail that a lot of people often miss along the back side of the park. It's on the perimeter of the park (to get there you walk by the youth garden, fern falley, and then you'll see the flowering trees - there is a small gate next to the flowering trees and between the golf course). - Don't park outside the arboretum, ample parking all over. - Great cidery right nextdoor - Supreme Core Cider

Read the parking signs !!!

DC gave us a freebie for the last year from ticketing due to COVID. They are now ramping up enforcement and handing out tickets like it's free candy. The best way to ensure you do not get a ticket is to read all the signs carefully, many of them are confusing so when in doubt we suggest parking in another spot. DC will generally never tow your car, but coming out to a $100 ticket is not a great way to start your day !

Avoid Chain Stores and Restaurants

We have one of the countries most diverse and incredible food scenes. When you can we highly recommend avoiding chain style restaurants where possible. Come here and enjoy what the city has to offer, and avoid the crappy Friday's potato skins. Anything you can imagine is here. Ehtiophian - yep, got tons of that. Laotian - yep, thats here to. What about Himalayan and Nepalese - you already know the answer Trinidadian food - cmon, now were getting silly
