Hot Springs campground, also known as Bath House Flats by the long time locals, is very easy to access and typically not too crowded. It’s known as Bath House Flats because in the Boise Basin gold rush days, there was a bath house located here where the miners could come for some R&R. The foundation can still be seen today. In addition to the bath house, there was also a bowling alley across the river as well as other establishments of “ill repute.” Bath House Flats is 5 miles west of us on Highway 17.

Best bar in Boise County!! This is the definition of a local small town bar. Don't let that fool you, Kevin and Darcey always have some great Idaho craft beers on tap and the pizza...is amazing! Come sit out on the covered patio in the summer and listen to live music a few nights a week, or warm yourself by the wood stove in the winter and tell lies with the locals.

Sightseeing

With the wild turbulent force of the South Fork of the Payette River leading the way, visitors revel not only in the beauty of the canyon formed by the powerful river, but also in the roaming wildlife that call this area home. We also call this area home, our place is located squarely in the middle of the Wildlife Canyon Scenic Byway. Herds of elk numbering near one hundred are not an unusual sight when traveling along the Wildlife Canyon Scenic Byway. Their winter range is located near the middle of the route close to the Danskin river access, which is located 1 mile west of us. Along with elk are mule deer, whitetail deer, chukars, wild turkeys, eagles, ospreys, cougars, bears and wolves that frequent this area. The Byway is especially crowded during the winter months, not with people, but instead with deer and elk. Either take a drive to see all the animals or literally sit on the Airbnb patio and watch them in our fields.
