Great train connection with the West Coast Main Line from London Euston (around 3 to 3.5hrs) to Glasgow.
There will be Taxis waiting outside Penrith station, and we are only 3.7miles from there or about 11mins according to Google, if you have any problems give us a call and we may be able to collect you.
From the barn, there is a bus from just outside, to Pooley Bridge, Ullswater Lake, Glenridding, Windermere and Ambleside as well as Penrith, approximately hourly. There is a boat service on Lake Ullswater which has a few stop-offs on the lake including some walks and Aira Force waterfall. There are also several easy walks from our house to other villages with good pubs and to Lowther Castle and gardens where there is a nice cafe.
