Sightseeing

This is about 30-40 mins drive from the home. Go about 18 miles on Highway 97 and just past Mineral Springs Campground on your left is a forest road that takes you all the way up. Its preferable to have a high clearance vehicle though i have seen Prius at the top. Its a steep half a mile hike from the parking lot but well worth the views. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/washington/red-top-lookout-trail

Yakima is about 45 mins drive. Its a spectacular drive through some dry country. In Yakima, which is the wine capital of Washington ( and we are giving Napa Valley a run for their money) you can visit vineyards and tasting rooms. There are a lot to choose from so prepare ahead!
