Mia's is a fun, eclectic, casual dining experience. We are not fancy, but our food is fantastic. Sit in our main dining room and watch pizzas being hand-tossed and fired in our brick pizza oven, choose to sit just off the dining room at a table that seats up to twelve and is reminiscent of an Italian grandmother's kitchen table, or enjoy our seasonal outdoor patio . Our menu is a blend of old- world Italian along with contemporary American and southwestern flavors. We have many traditional Italian entrees such as brick-oven Margherita Pizza, Pasta Puttanesca, Chicken Saltimbocca and Fresh Pasta specials daily. Some of our more diverse entrees include Pear Manchego salad and brick-oven Jambalaya Pizza. Begin your meal with Polenta Frito served with a fire-roasted tomato sauce, crispy onions and crumbled feta cheese or our homemade French Onion Soup. Don't forget to save room for traditional Spumoni ice cream or classic Italian Tiramisu. Our items range in price, but you will find every entrée under $22. Come as you are- we are happy to have you Reservations Recommended

Our hand-tossed pizzas are simply the best. Each bubbly, cheesy pie is made with the 100% real mozzarella cheese and our signature sauce. It’s hard to say what makes it so delicious: the dough, the sauce, or is it the fresh toppings? We’ll let you decide, if you can.

Awesome little breakfast spot that offers sweet treats! Had a shredded pork breakfast sandwich with sunny side up eggs on whole wheat. I was skeptical about shredded pork but man ,Crazy good! My friend had a breakfast burrito with bacon as her protein and it did not have much bacon but it was packed with avocados. For dessert we had a coconut berry bar (5 stars) peach turnover (4 stars), strawberry streusel muffin (3 stars). I also had a cold brew since I have become a sort of coffee snob this year. Definitely would not order the cold brew again. I plan on going again in the morning for more coconut bars!!

Located in Twain Harte, The Eproson House is a purveyor of fine American dining Ray and Ella (Giannini) Eproson moved to Twain Harte with their family in 1930. The family owned the Twain Harte Grocery (where 7-11 is now located). Ray became Twain Harte’s Postmaster and Fire Chief and the Post Office was located in their store, which, for many years, was also their home. They began building their new home on (what is now) Twain Harte Drive during World War II. This is the current location of the Eproson House. It was completed in 1947 and had five rooms. The Post Office was moved to the front part of what is now the bar. Ray and Ella's bedroom was located behind the Post Office. The children's bedrooms were located in what is now the dining room between the current bar and the new dining area near the fireplace. Ray Eproson died in 1967 and Ella lived in the house until her death in 1972. In 1973 the house was sold to Mr. and Mrs Warton who converted the home into a restaurant, “The Eproson House.” Dick Rachel took over the restaurant from the Wartons, and later sold it in 1975 (?) to Martha Scott, who owned the business until 1991. Martha added the new dining area on the west end of the building (the sky room). The bar and restaurant became the social and business center of Twain Harte. Since 1991, the Eproson House has had several owners and, for a short time, a different name. It is, once again, the Eproson House Restaurant. We welcome all of you past and present to our House, the Eproson House. Enjoy!

While Sonora is one of the closest cities to Yosemite National Park, it's also a popular attraction in its own right. This historic Gold Rush town is filled with character and characters, and plenty to see and do. Here are 7 things that must be experienced on any visit to Sonora. 1. Go shopping in Historic Downtown Sonora Sonora was first founded way back in 1850 by miners from Mexico, who named the city after the Mexican state of the same name. Like many other communities of the time, it rose and fell with the Gold Rush. Once a bustling city of many thousands, today it's a small community comprised of residents who treasure the rich history of their town. One of the best ways to experience that history is strolling through the downtown region and exploring the many shops that line the street. You can either browse the many art galleries, boutiques and amazing restaurants at your own pace, or embark on the Downtown Sonora Walking Tour which will ensure you don't miss a single highlight. 2. Experience 2nd Saturday Art Night Try to time your visit to include the second Saturday of the month - any month - throughout the year. The merchants in Sonora's historic downtown open their doors to local musicians and artists for all to enjoy for 2nd Saturday Art Night. The festivities start at 5 pm and run until 8 pm. It's a fantastic display including art, performing artists and music, in the historic setting of downtown Sonora. Serventes Saloon Sonora 3. Experience history at 3 museums As one would expect of a city with so much history, Sonora has amazing museums that keep the stories from the town alive. The Tuolumne County Museum & History Center was created more than 60 years ago to protect and preserve the history of the region. Overseen by the Tuolumne County Historical Society, the museum features exhibits about the Gold Rush, pioneer guns, law and justice and other ways of life in the 1800's. For a unique take on a specific aspect of the region's history, visit the Sonora Fire Museum & Senior Lounge. While one thing that hasn't changed is fire being a big concern, what is different is the gear and methodology used to combat it. The museum showcases a wide array of equipment and apparatus that crews used to protect Sonora and its residents for the past century. Another museum honoring residents who protected the community is the Veterans Memorial Military Museum. You'll find uniforms, equipment, medals and even weaponry used by the the men and women of Sonora who served the armed forces. Tuolumne County Museum and Historic Center 4. Sample hard cider at Indigeny Reserve Indigeny Reserve is a labor of love with a dedication to sustainability. The ranch has been turned into a 160-acre nature retreat with hiking trails, picnic areas and park-like settings. It includes an 80-acre apple ranch that the family purchased in 2005 to prevent the apple trees, many more than a century old, from being torn out to put in homes. Since then the family has earned an organic certification for the business. They also started making hard cider so no apples would go to waste. They then realized they still had enough to start making the brandy and vodka, to ensure everything is used, and used quite effectively as well. Indigeny Harvest Festival 5. Enjoy a delicious meal at a unique, locally-owned eatery You know you're going to get hungry on your trip, might as well make dining part of the experience, right? Murphys is located in the central Sierra Nevada foothills between Lake Tahoe and Yosemite National Park, in Calaveras County, California. Rich in goldrush history, Murphys today is a vibrant, thriving community of approximately 2,000 residents, alive with art galleries and live theater, eclectic shops, fine restaurants, charming hotels and B&B’s, and a multitude of outstanding outdoor recreational opportunities all just a short drive away. Often called the “Queen of the Sierra,” Murphys has retained the charm of yesteryear, even as it has grown and developed into a modern community with all the amenities expected by today’s visitors. Many original goldrush-era buildings are still in use today, including the Murphys Historic Hotel and Lodge, a registered State Historic Landmark which once hosted such luminaries as General Ulysses S. Grant, Mark Twain, Horatio Alger, and Charles Bolton, aka notorious outlaw “Black Bart.” Towering, stately elm trees line Main St., providing a canopy of green that adds to the historic charm and ambiance of the streetscape. Daniel and John Murphy settled the area in 1848, at the start of the great California gold rush. Shrewd traders and smart businessmen both, the brothers made their fortune supplying the legions of gold miners flocking to the area, and legend has it that they were millionaires by the time they turned 25. More about the history of Murphys. Located at approximately the 2,000-foot elevation level, Murphys is ideally situated above the central valley fog, yet generally below the snowline. Year-round weather is pleasant and mild, with temperatures ranging from the mid-30’s to 60’s during the winter months, and 70’s to 90’s during the summer. Ever wondered why Murphys doesn’t have an apostrophe? One day the 2 brothers started arguing about which one was the ‘owner’ of the camp, and after a bit of continued argument, decided to settle the issue with a show of strength, which really was nothing but a fist fight between two brothers – not uncommon, as you know if you have a brother (or sister). After rolling around in the dirt and mud for a few minutes, the 2 brothers actually fell into a mine pit, with the help of one of the town’s mules. Fortunately for them, it was only about 30 feet deep, but slick on both sides, and about 6 feet in diameter. After each one got tired of only trying to rescue himself, they decided to work together, and back to back pushed off on the walls, and somehow with extreme effort, got themselves up and out. It was then that the brothers decided just to call the town “Murphys” instead of “Murphy’s”. Without the apostrophe, there was no “possession” of the town by either.
