A wonderful place to visit even for just a historical things that are there there is a nice crypt for children with a little bit of dressing up but it is a wonderful building my father used to go with a pair of binoculars and look at the stain glass windows

When York Council found this building they decided to fill it with furniture that was made as the Tudors would have made it so the furniture is new but has been made in an authentic Tudor manner and watching an age over the years has been interesting particularly the horn window which went first put there was completely opaque and has now become more translucent I have taken children at about the age of nine who have thoroughly enjoyed this it links into some school work

It’s a small art galley that wins prizes, the garden behind the art gallery is an old medic garden full of herbs and spices which is lovely and that leads through to our little Abby ruins and often there are birds of prey on show that you can handle their also the art galleries and restaurant is good
