Our favorite restaurant in the area. Their fried chicken is iconic, but their menu is good from top to bottom. They also have a great outdoor dining space right on the waterfront.

The Laundrette is known for its brick oven pizza, and rightly so, it's damn good. Their menu does expand beyond that, and they have a nice little kids' menu as well. It also has great outdoor seating and a waterfront view. When we're in Narrowsburg, we are usually here or at The Heron.

The Cochecton Pump House is a 140 year old venue like nothing in the area. It's seasonal and weather dependent, because it doesn't have a roof, so be sure to confirm hours of operation beforehand. It's a casual setting suitable for couples, group or families to enjoy food truck style eats and drinks under the stars.

The schoolhouse is in close proximity to one of the most scenic stretches of highway in the country. Featured in National Geographic, the Upper Delaware Scenic Byway is a beautiful 70-mile stretch of New York State Route 97 traversing three counties and largely paralleling the nationally-renowned Delaware River. The most famous feature, dubbed The Hawks Nest, is a short drive from the schoolhouse and features a tight winding section of the road with access points to view the river valley.

Barryville General and the Bang Bang Bar are central hubs and meeting places with a variety of food and local goods morning, afternoon and evening. Barryville Bottle has a good wine and spirits selection. The town has many access points to the Delaware River with Reber River Trips right in town for White Water Rafting. The town is in close proximity to many waterfalls, hiking, fishing and swimming opportunities. It is also in close proximity to two historic landmarks in Roebling’s Bridge and the Minisink Battleground.
