Beech is the farthest ski resort from the cottage, but worth it in our opinion. There's a full bar on the top of the mountain so you can take in the views while having a drink, and they are our favorite NC ski mountain because of the variety they offer. It's an easy drive through banner elk (about 25 minutes), but worth it in our opinion!

They have a surprising amount of toppings/ additions for the omelettes and french toast, and even offer french toast donuts (a favorite of ours). Friendly staff and fair prices make this a great option.

When we were remodeling the cottage we must have eaten here 3 or 4 times in one month. They have a lot of options but one of our favorites was their bbq chicken, and their mac & cheese is a must-have!
