Just a short 300m stroll from your door (turn right at the driveway) you’ll find the Hamurana Reserve. This is a scenic walking track that wraps around the Hamurana lake front. The Reserve is great place to play and picnic, with barbecues, picnic tables, children’s playground, toilets and plenty of beach access. The Walk
The 15km Tarawera Trail is a beautiful native bush walk that follows the contour of Lake Tarawera to the popular Te Rātā Bay and Hot Water Beach. After 5km, stop at Hawaiki Bay to enjoy lake access and a picnic area with toilet facilities. The track continues with intermittent climbs, through lakeside passing over Twin Streams cold springs. The Walk
The 15km Tarawera Trail is a beautiful native bush walk that follows the contour of Lake Tarawera to the popular Te Rātā Bay and Hot Water Beach. After 5km, stop at Hawaiki Bay to enjoy lake access and a picnic area with toilet facilities. The track continues with intermittent climbs, through lakeside passing over Twin Streams cold springs.
