We have our own gorgeous private beach with lawn chairs and thatched tiki umbrellas for shade just a 5 minute walk from our front door. We are also just a short walk to famous St Pete Beach which is 1.25 miles away. (Big pink palace, Don Cesar Resort, is just a 1.25 mile walk over the bridge and through the big pink hotel parking lot to the ocean beach) Also, we are 3-4 miles to pristine Fort Desoto State Park with the gorgeous secluded beaches and biking trails. (No commercial buildings but they do have food/bathrooms) Cute beach towns not to be missed are Gulfport on the water and Pass a Grille (:10), The Pier & Sun Dial (:15-:20), Tampa Busch Gardens Amusement park is around :40 minutes away and TPA (Tampa International Airport) is :25 and SRQ (Sarasota Bradenton Airport is :43 drive. Plan to buy a City Pass to visit all of the major tourist attractions in a bundle for one price. (Busch Gardens, Aquarium, etc) Surrounded by Boca Ciega Bay, Isla del Sol is a tropical barrier island nestled between the southernmost tip of St. Petersburg and St. Pete Beach, FL. The island is just minutes from the warm, turquoise waters and white sand beaches on the Gulf of Mexico, Fort DeSoto Park and North Beach, chosen by "Dr. Beach" as one of America's Best Beaches. Enjoy the area's walking and biking trails, fishing, swimming, golfing, boating, sight-seeing trips, nightlife, casino cruises, sunset cruises, watercraft rentals and so much more. Hop on board the Suncoast Beach Trolley at the Don CeSar, the infamous "Pink Palace" on St. Pete Beach, and spend the day exploring and touring Florida's Gulf beaches. All of which are easily accessible at every stop. Treat yourself at one of the many beachfront restaurants or take a break from the sun and enjoy the unique shops and tourist attractions up and down our beautiful coastline. Busch Gardens is a short 45 minute drive from the island or Walt Disney World, Sea World and Universal Studios are all less than 2 hours away. Don’t pass up the chance to shop, dine and explore downtown St. Petersburg during your stay. Sundial, the city’s newest endeavor located in the heart of downtown, will draw you in with its special collection of shops, restaurants, spas, nightlife and entertainment found only in the Tampa Bay area. The place “to be” and “be seen” in downtown St. Pete is Beach Drive. Teeming with arts and culture, the unparalleled Chihuly Collection is just one of many diverse galleries along Beach Drive and the superb "al fresco" dining at one of the many upscale restaurants is a must. St. Pete’s picturesque waterfront is also home to the world-class Dali Museum, renowned Museum of Fine Arts, Mahaffey Theater, Florida Orchestra and over 1,000 special events and festivals each year. For visiting sports fans, the choice is endless. Tropicana Field home of the Tampa Bay Rays is a short 15 minute drive from Isla or just north on Interstate 275 is Raymond James Stadium and Amalie Arena home to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tampa Bay Lightning. The Tampa Bay area is also home to the Rowdies of the North American Soccer League, minor league baseball and MLB Spring Training ❤️❤️Brand new app called “Freebee” allows free door to door shuttle service along the St Pete Beach coast from hotels to 24 restaurants and bars plus grocery stores, sunset and deep sea cruise ports, etc. no tipping allowed and you can catch these free rides at the Don Cesar a mile and a half away from our condo! You can sign up on the Freebee app on your phone for free and receive door to door service rides on the other side of the big bridge.(a 1.5 miles away) **👍There is also a phone app called “SPB Fun Page” that you can download for free. It tells happy hours, live music, restaurants, deals, things going on in the area, Beach barsrestaurants in the water, boat tours and excursions, etc The ity pass is highly recommendedwhere you pay a ticket price and gain entry into many local attractions for one price. (Busch Gardens, etc) Highlights: -St Pete Beach -**Fort DeSoto State Park (beaches galore and no hotels nor condos!) $6 for all day parking. -Gulfport on the Marina -**Pass A Grille -Busch Gardens Amusement park -Armature Works in Tampa -St Pete Pier and area Three Publix grocery stores and a Super Walmart are nearby. Our favorite close restaurants are: O’Maddy’s Bar & Grille in Gulfport on the water. -**Don Caesar outdoor patio restaurant and bar at sunset $$ (parking is $28 so just walk over the big bridge and you will see the pink palace Don Cesar Resort.) -Tiki Docks on the Marina -Bongos on the beach (in the sand at sunset with live music and happy hour is 2-4) food just ok but atmosphere is awesome -*Stella’s in Gulfport for breakfast -*Brass Monkey rooftop terrace in Pass A Grille (ask to sit on the rooftop railing!) -**The Berkeley Rooftop restaurant (better menu and food but they like reservations here!) in Pass A Grille -Island Grille and Raw Bar at the Terre Verde Marriot Residence Inn on the Marina.(best overlooking the pool/marina with raw oyster bar) -Armature Works in Tampa for families with small children.

Pristine and natural with no commercial buildings on the island. (However, there are bathrooms, a concession stand as well as a dog park) You can also rent kayaks and spend the day on the water.
