This place is across the street from the splash pad in The Food Bank. It is so nice to sit outside on their wrap around porch and while away the hours.

River Flow Yoga is in the bottom floor of City Mills Hotel. Tons of great yoga classes in a beautiful environment. A bit pricey at $20/class but worth it for the experience.

OUR MUST DO: Just put Waveshaper Island, Columbus GA into the Goog's Maps and it will take you to a thrilling place. It is especially magical at sunset, when the dam is open and the water is really rushing fast over the rocks. It's a great place to watch fearless kayaks battle the rapids and you can rent kayaks here too. And watch the herons looking for fish. And look for bald eagles. It's a wonderful place to connect with nature.

Everyone who goes on stage gets 5 minutes to get everything off their chest, and it's so much fun - you never know what is going to happen. It can be raunchy, but it feels like you're watching the early days of aspiring actors or poets or anyone doing something creative in a small venue. It's a must.

The Richland Distilling Company is an artisan copper pot distillery, dedicated to crafting Richland Single Estate Old Georgia Rum. Visit the distillery, barrel houses, and gift shop. They also have a tasting. Richland Rum was named Best American Rum by Forbes in 2018. It's about 45 minutes from The Berkley and if you have an afternoon to explore and the desire to do it, it's a fun day trip.

I just wanted to put together a list of highlights for you to pick and choose from. It may not be in our faves list, but these are hand selected loves and might be for you too. Ma Rainey was considered the Queen of the Blues. She mentored Bessie Smith, an absolute favorite blues singer of ours. She also had Louie Armstrong in her band and they played around the corner from her house at the Liberty Theater (currently closed but opening back up soon). The home that she bought for her mother and later lived in has been turned into a museum. She led quite a notorious life, and is totally worth a Googl search to find out more.

New to Columbus, I had never heard of POpshelf. It's like a modern vision of Family Dollar. The reason I'm putting it into the guidebook is because if you put POpshelf into your GPS you will end up in the heart of Whittlesey Blvd, Columbus' biggest shopping destination. Ulta and Sephora within 200 feet of each other? Yes. If shopping is on your mind, this is chock full of your favorites.
