Who doesn't love Foster's Freeze?!!! There is one in Lucerne--however, I haven't tried it yet. We hit Foster's to clear the palate in between wineries. :)

It is actually really fast service. Don't order take-out. That could take an hour. However! Order over the phone and the pizza is ready in 10-15 minutes. Or, eat in.

Locals eat here... tiny, sometimes crowded, but great service. Standard Americana foods.

Very nice cuisine and desserts! If the food doesn't literally melt in your mouth, the blending of the flavors on your palate, will! If you only have time to experience 1 local finer dining experience, this would be my choice. Plus, it is really close to the house. On the water. During the summer months they have roof top dining. I actually prefer this restaurant over other finer dining establishments. (I have not tried them all, yet. ;) ) The prices are moderate. Not unreasonable. Again, engage with the staff if you want more of an experience than to just eat and run.
