Marjan is 178 m tall and offers a view of the entire city, the surrounding islands, and the nearby mountains of Mosor and Kozjak. It has always been a favorite place for walking, running, jogging, climbing or riding a bike. I heartily recommend to take some time to visit this magnificent natural park.

Split iconic sandy beach. Famous for it's sandy stretch where you can walk for 100 meters and still with the sea below waist. During the July and August, I strongly suggest you go there before 9 in the morning or after 8 in the evening, as the beach in the meantime gets overcrowded.

In a series of nice beaches on the south side of Marjan hill, Kasjuni beach is one of most beautiful with a rich pine forest. In this bay you can find all kinds of beaches, partly pebble, rocky and even small sandy beach.
All beaches have a wide parking place and, believe it or not, even in the highest season you can easily find a place.
Also Bene beach. This beach is located on the northern side of Marjan Hill. It’s a popular local people’s beach. It’s a concrete beach but entrance to the sea is pebble or sand, surrounded by a thick pine forest.
It’s also a family friendly beach with playground facilities for tennis, football, and other sports. It’s also one of my favorite bicycle paths.

In a series of nice beaches on the south side of Marjan hill, Kasjuni beach is one of most beautiful with a rich pine forest. In this bay you can find all kinds of beaches, partly pebble, rocky and even small sandy beach.
All beaches have a wide parking place and, believe it or not, even in the highest season you can easily find a place.

Visits can be combined with entry to the nearby Kaštelet which houses his religious works.
