From the road, you can see nothing with virtually no signposts and very few parking spaces, but off the road and 150 steps down, into a 70ft gorge reveals a stunning place to explore. Well worth a visit but remember that emergency services are sometimes called to rescue people. In 2017 the BBC was accused of putting lives at risk by promoting a 'dangerous gorge as one of the most "magical" and "fun" places to explore in Scotland.' (The Express, 27 Aug 2017)
Note: even when it has been dry for 6 weeks, there are risks involved with wet surfaces on uneven steps, and rocks falling down the sides of the gorge.
