Food Scene

10-15 minute walk from the house, this is my favorite restaurant in town. Great dinner, great brunch and great drinks. I've never had a bad dish here.

Walking distance from the house. Sort of a higher-end sports bar (think TGIFriday's but better food, amazing craft beer selection and lots of TVs).

Drinks & Nightlife

One of my favorite spots for a cocktail. Just a short drive from the house, this is a speakeasy style bar, tucked away in a semi-residential area of Remington. They always have two beers -- dark and light. Three wines -- white, red or bubbles. And a huge array of classic and craft cocktails.

One of the oldest (and diviest) bars in Fells Point, there's live music every night -- usually something in the blues, jazz, rock genres. Great mix of old locals and young music fans.

Sightseeing

Just a few miles from the house, it's right on the water and packed with places to eat, shop, or stroll along the water checking out the boats and the landscape. Parking can be pricey, so you may want to Uber/Lyft down. You can also take the Light Rail to the Camden Yard stop -- it's only a 5 min walk from there.

O! say can you see, by the dawn's early light, a large red, white and blue banner? Whose broad stripes and bright stars . . . were so gallantly streaming over the star-shaped Fort McHenry during the Battle of Baltimore, September 13-14, 1814. The valiant defense of the fort inspired Francis Scott Key to write "The Star-Spangled Banner."

Walking distance...just a general grocery store for anything you might need. There's a Rite Aid, Dunkin Donuts, Chinese food, sushi and dry cleaner in the same plaza.
