The Highland Haven is perfect for those travelling the NC500 or visiting Orkney in a group. Our two rooms have traditional box beds and can sleep up to 10 (4 in one room, 6 in the other), each with Ensuite and an extra wet room. There is a large open plan kitchen, dining, lounging area surrounding a wood burner. We have secure parking, free laundry facilities and WIFI . Our location is stunning and full of wildlife. Our beautiful,little cottage is situated on Shapinsay Island,25 min boat journey from Kirkwall. Boat is going 7 days a week,5 times a day.Cottage is in the middle of the little farm so you will be lucky to see little lambs skipping around 😍 Shapinsay is a "paradise " like island where you could relax with a whole family,enjoy peaceful walks on beautiful beaches or watch some wildlife . You could relax in the island cafe/pub " Smithy "or rent one of the electric bikes and go for adventure ☺️

A unique home by the sea. A peaceful and private country road leads to this secluded cottage. The hot tub has views down scapa flow. The famous St Magus Way is accessible from this property . There is direct access to the sea for paddle boarding, wind surfing or sailing in the bay. Return to the cottage to an open fire. The extensive grounds also allow for simple walks or yoga. The cottage retains some of it's 19th century charm but has been renovated to be a practical and comfortable home.

On the outskirts of the historic town of Stromness in the West Mainland of Orkney, this single-story barn conversion has one bedroom, an open-plan living/dining/kitchen space, and a bathroom with bath and walk-in shower. All on one level, the property is wheelchair accessible throughout. It has stunning views across Hoy Sound and out to the open Atlantic. Parking is available right outside, but if you visit without a car, regular buses from Stromness go to all areas of Orkney.
