Had a fabulous 2 nights at the cottage with my Mum. The cottage was cosy, warm and the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed cooking a meal in one night and the other we drove 5 minutes to the local pub which served great food. We enjoyed 2 days hiking, the location was perfect for us. Coming back to a hot tub was the best feeling when you legs and feet are aching! The cottage it surrounded by fields and sheep, it was absolutely stunning. Amy was really helpful with any questions we had. Would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at mini-moon. The cottage was modern, light and clean. The modern interior and home comforts made our stay feel luxurious. The copper bath is a lovely touch. Everything you needed was supplied. Nicola was a fantastic host, she was available whenever you needed her.

We had a lovely stay in Mallard - it was such a cosy place to stay. Quiet and peaceful with just what you needed, and a very comfy bed. Showers were excellent - hot and lots of pressure, location perfect, very peaceful and our little doggie loved it. Marion was a great host, upgraded us at our request when we realised Mallard was free! (Originally stayed in Teal which was also lovely). Can’t fault it - we have already booked to come back in June! Amazing place to stay! Caroline has brilliant communication and eased all of our doubts prior to our trip; great location, amazing views, lots to do. Caroline’s place is so clean, super comfy beds, modern bathroom and kitchen, amazing amenities, just the perfect place. Would highly recommend!

Really lovely stay, great location in Kendal and a nicely furnished place. Plenty of room for the pair of us - might have a been a bit of a squash with 4 but still manageable when the sun is shining. Convenient location for access to the lakes.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet Michael as he was away but we did meet the lovely Carol who was there on our arrival. We had a brilliant 2nt stay in the Partridge Hut. It was exactly the same as the photos. A comfortable bed and large powerful shower. It had everything you needed for such a compact space. We were fortunate with the weather and were able to use the outdoor seating and even got the fire pit going on the 1 nt. It was lovely to wake up to the birdsong and the little bunnies hopping around. We ate at the Milecastle Inn which was recommended by Carol and was spot on and then had fish and chips at the Ocean takeaway in Haltwhistle the last nt. Hadrians Wall is just on your doorstep and the Lanercost Priory which is in walking distance from the hut. A great tearoom and gift shop there too. If you’re after a quiet and relaxing time, Michael’s place is perfect and we will definitely return.

Lovely, clean, spacious lodge in a lovely setting with a perfectly placed hot tub. The lodge meet all our requirements. Plenty of storage space, extra bedding provided and all the essentials. Highly recommended.

Such a special place- great facilities too. The kids just loved it.
