Trendy spots nearby include the parks, running trails and pools at Mueller, Alamo Drafthouse Theater, Halcyon Coffee, B.D. Riley's Irish Pub, East Austin Yoga, The kNomad Global Bar, Kirby Lane (pancakes!) and the amazing Paco's Tacos, just to name a few. The eco-friendly, HEB grocery center (.25 miles from the house) has everything from Starbucks & Liquor, to pizza & gas just moments away. There are busses which are frequented by the students in the area, and the nearest light rail is at Highland Mall just 1 mile away. However, like most of Austin, the most convenient option is to have a car. This property is used by the owner for entertaining his own family and guests. Central East Austin is a diverse and dynamic neighborhood that is just a few minutes from downtown and yet still quiet. In addition to offering of some of Austin's best restaurants and music venues, it also has important history to explore. In the last century, highway 35 was a tool of segregation, with east (of 35) Austin providing a rich community for African Americans. See how this history lives on through a plethora of old and new businesses is this burgeoning neighborhood! There is a parking spot that you are welcome to use directly in front of the house and there is also plenty of street parking with no permitting or street cleaning concerns. The closest B-Cycle station is a 15 minute walk away at Victory Grill on 11th St. Many of the 6th St restaurants and bars are a 10 minute walk as well. If you would prefer not to walk, there are a selection of ride share services such as RideAustin (our favorite), Lyft, or Uber. The street has two names, Hamilton Ave and Richard Overton Ave. Depending on your map source you may see either one pop up. Richard Overton is the oldest living American and American World War II veteran at 112 years of age. He lives down the block where be bought a house after the war ended.

The condo is near everything yet is located in a beautiful park like setting. The floor plan is open and the kitchen is modern - with newer built in stainless appliances and granite counter tops. The 2 full baths are luxurious - utilizing granite tops, ceramic tile and high end fixtures. The kitchen/dining/living areas have beautiful hardwood floors while the 2 bedrooms have wall to wall carpeting. There is a rooftop deck that is wonderful - access is via the elevator to the 5th floor - turn right off the elevator and take the stairs through the first door on the right (one flight). Access to the secured building is by keypad. A well appointed lobby welcomes you where an elevator awaits to take you to your 5th floor condo. I am available anytime from 7:00AM - 10:00PM for anything at all. I am available anytime after those hours above for emergencies. This area of Walnut Hills is adjacent to beautiful Eden Park and offers great proximity to downtown, numerous restaurants, and nightlife. There are also many scenic areas overlooking the Ohio River and downtown Cincinnati. The METRO bus stop is located one block from the condo. The RED BIKE bike renting kiosk is less than a 5 minute walk from the condo. Uber rides are about $3.00 to OTR and about $4.00 to Downtown and the sports stadiums. Please note that there is a binder that we have assembled that we have left on top of the desk in the condo. This binder showcases all of our recommended restaurants and sites - organized by neighborhood. Also - there is easy access to Eden Park if you walk to the public stairway just in front of the Beethoven Condos (the blue historic building on the corner of Sinton and Morris located across the street) There is a "Red Bike" kiosk for affordable bike rentals located at the bottom of the public stairs mentioned above.

There are LIME BIKES parked all over the city that you can rent via app for $1/hour. There are also 3 DART stops within 5 minutes walk- all off Henderson- that will take you into downtown or can link you to a rail station nearby to get to your destination. There is a keypad entry on the front door so no need to keep track of a set of keys. The home has an alarm system for additional piece of mind and if you're comfortable using it, we can supply a personal code to use during your stay. Also, Monday is our trash and recycle day. Someone will come by (outside only) to take to curb early that morning.
