A truly beautiful home with stunning gardens, we had a family party in the area and Peter’s home was perfect - we wish we’d had longer to enjoy the property! Extremely well equipped and fantastic for children. Peter was extremely responsive to questions and communicated all instructions clearly prior to arrival. We recently reurned for our second visit to Hermitage Holidays and it didn't disappoint! Valeria and David are such lovely hosts and gave us an extended warm welcome, making us feel right at home. Nothing is too much trouble. The property boasts serene lakes that create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Evenings by the fire pit are magical and the mornings are delightful watching the local wildlife. The accommodation is well-equipped, featuring thoughtful touches like a chilled bottle of fizz, stocked tea and coffee, and ample firewood. Fishing enthusiasts will appreciate the complimentary access to well-maintained lakes. A short stroll leads to the historic town of Clare, offering a variety of shops, pubs, and eateries. For everyday shopping, the local Co-op is convenient, and a larger supermarket in nearby Sudbury caters to more extensive needs. Hermitage Holidays is ideal for those seeking a tranquil retreat immersed in nature and enriched by local culture and amazing hosts.

Anna and Roger were great hosts, very responsive and a lovely pair of people to chat with,, there gorgeous little lodge is a slice of paradise, peaceful, beautiful surroundings and great neighbours,, we had an evening on the water in their rowing boat,met some of the locals,, brilliant evening! All in all,I wouldn't hesitate to stay here, or recommend their place, again and again. Hope to visit again in the future, take care folks,and keep up the good work. Excellent property with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Miranda is a great host looking to enhance your experience with details of extra activities in the local area. The location is perfect for access to the locals pubs and restaurants in Snape and the Suffolk coast line.

A beautiful lodge located on the river, looking across the beautiful RSPB reserve, we enjoyed spending time on the deck, using the binoculars provided to watch the abundant wildlife, including the beautiful barn owl flying in the evening and the Heron passing by. We had a very relaxing weekend stay here with everything we needed, Sarah and Ian are wonderful hosts and Ian also helped us get our first paddle boarding experience under our belts too. The lodge had everything we needed and the bed was lovely and comfortable. there is now a small TV with freeview provided, but we never even switched it on, that view is just too special to wast time watching TV! We will definitely return to soak up the beauty and tranquility. Thanks Sarah & Ian

Lovely little cabin, perfect for friends trip. Mark was friendly and the cabins are lake is clearly his pride and joy! Would recommend :)
