Relax in your garden retreat, a private oasis by the lake. Dine or laze on the verandah, watch the birds come and go from the tall garden trees. Walk across the quiet cul de sac to plunge into the lake - also popular for canoeing, fishing, paddleboarding - or to catch spectacular sunsets. Stroll the beach path to the surf, cafes, grassy picnic areas, kids swim spots and playground. Follow the bike path north or south or explore canoe trails. Canoe and bikes included. The couple's cabin is one of three close-knit pavilions at The Bower, rustique rainforest retreat; a tiny hamlet only 10 minutes drive from Maleny and 20 minutes to Woodfordia. Relax in front of the warm wood burning fireplace, enjoy the abundant bird life from your private deck, soak in the antique clawfoot bath, and lose yourself in the celestial clerestory views. Your cottage is private and includes air-conditioning, wifi and streaming services for your comfort and pleasure.

The Cottage

Our property is a short walk to the beach, down a quiet leafy street. The cottage is nestled in shady surrounds in our backyard. From a private side entrance the stepping stones lead you into an airy and welcoming self-contained cottage. On street parking is safe and directly outside the property. The cottage offers privacy and an opportunity to get-away-from-it-all and relax in your own space. There are various norestaurants within easy walking distance that offer an array of cuisines.

Train Carriage on Acreage Retreat Sunshine Coast

Journey back in time while enjoying the luxury of a fully renovated and contemporory train carriage fitted out with bedrooms, kitchenette, bathroom, toilet and living /TV area and indoor electric fire. Enjoy the sweeping views of the valley overlooking Sarah's hobby farm on the large deck and entertaining area inc. BBQ facilities. Roast marshmallows over your own personal fire-pit at night. Twice daily animal feeding and experiences for the Children led by Sarah your hostess.

Birdsong Villa - Figtrees on Watson

Birdsong Villa (at Figtrees on Watson) is a purpose architect designed fully self contained cottage for use by our short stay guests. It is on the same property as our very popular Betharam Villa (see Figtrees on Watson listing for photos and information about this beautiful property). The villa has been designed to be wheelchair friendly with wide door opening and minimal door sills. The villa was completed in early 2021 and had been finished and furnished to a high standard.

Historic French style mountaintop scenic homestead

Rowan House, a magnificent three-level French-styled residence, is uniquely positioned high in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Perched atop Mount Mellum’s highest north-easterly point, the homestead commands spectacular 180° views of almost 150 km of Australia’s coastline and islands - from Noosa through to Brisbane. The restored mansion was Queensland’s 1942 “House of the Year” and is just a 25 minute drive from beaches. Original tennis court is refurbished.

Freespirit is an eco hideaway hidden amidst the beautiful Mapleton National Park; a romantic and peaceful retreat where couples feel at one with nature. This nature inspired Eco house is designed to bring the outside in. Everything here is natural so escape and embrace the simplicity of life. Surrender to the tranquility and beauty of nature and relax. Freespirit Eco Hideaway is unfortunately not suitable for children.

Fresh eggs for breakfast, feed the friendly farm animals, climb a beautiful Glass House Mountain or two….all from your cute little cottage home base. Mt Ngungun is just outside the gate, Australia Zoo 10 mins away. Or stroll the expansive gardens and feed the menagerie of friendly farm animals. A relax on the deck is sure to attract a puppy, chicken, kitty, duck, Guinea fowl, goat or sheep visitor.
