We arrived just before the sun started to set and the view across the wetlands was absolutely magical! Lots of wildlife visible from the balcony, which was great! We had everything we needed, and the place was very cosy and comfortable. The cabin felt secluded and private, but was just a short drive to Launceston. Easy to find too, and the directions were helpful. We loved our stay here and will definitely be back

We had a lovely stay at Orchard’s nest for my partner’s 40th. It was really relaxing, beautifully furnished, the bed and linen were so comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Absolutely recommend for a place to relax and reset.

The place is beautiful - located on a hill and had a view of the surroundings. It was close to the nearby town, which had plenty of food options and was also only a short drive to the centre of Hobart. Nick gave us recommendations of local restaurants which were fantastic. The place was spotless, and amenities were great! We really enjoyed the sauna. Would highly recommend who is looking for a private and relaxing location but also close to the hustle and bustle of the city centre.

Such a peaceful and relaxing place to end our Tassie trip. Gorgeous little cottage in a beautiful area. Thanks so much to Karen for being so friendly and making us feel at home. The kids really enjoyed picking your yummy fresh fruit with you and playing frisbee and finska on the lawn. Definitely recommend!

Serene and spectacular. This was the perfect place to stay to switch off from everything. If you’re looking for something wonderfully peaceful but still just a short drive from Hobart this is your place. This cosy home was exactly as described, making for a spacious and comfortable stay

This place has everything you could need in an eco house! It’s incredibly peaceful and secluded in nature. When we stayed we had a clear night’s sky and saw the stars at their brightest. And when we woke up, we were surrounded by cute wallabies and pink skies. We stayed during a chilly night but that was no issue because of the wood-fire! It was so nice to cosy by the fire and reflect on the day. The place was so well stocked and decorated. There are collections of DVDs, books and music from the iPod + speakers. We wished we had the time to stay for longer, it was a marvellous stay!

One of the most magical places in the world, where time slows down & your cup fills up. ✨ So greatful to Ingrid & Cliff for letting us share in their little piece of paradise. Their warmth shines through this special place. Sharing it with those I love - my family parents & old man Otto made this trip particularly special. Safe to say won a few more hearts. We loved staying at the Rock Cabins and would love to stay again. It was spotlessly clean, very well equipped, quiet, warm and tastefully furnished. The huge mudroom was very useful.

It was a beautiful and peaceful stay. Casey was very responsive and easy to communicate with. The cabin was the perfect place to get away from all the noise and step into a peaceful, warm setting Id absolutely return and would recommend to anyone and everyone :)

Perfect location for a peaceful afternoon and night before the 3 Capes walk

Macey went above and beyond to make us very welcome and comfortable . We were able to check out later which gave us a little more time to pack up. We loved the outdoor fireplace the firewood was all ready and well stocked . Very cosy and homey , very comfortable bed and crisp linen. The record player was a hit and enjoyed the board games . Make sure you are well stocked up and prepare if cooking to save time and money with shopping etc however there is enough great cafes and unique restaurants around . Great facilities for dogs and dog friendly beach close by . If there was a laundry it would totally be a 10/10 however that did not disappoint us as it wasn’t a priority . A wonderful relaxing place and totally recommend if you like to be away from the hustle and bustle . Beautiful flora and fauna surrounding in particular the birds and flowers . A home with character !

What a beautiful location this was! Very private & secluded. It was raining, so we snuggled up with the fire going and just relaxed! Loved the recommendations for local places, we checked most of them out 🥰 The place was super clean, cosy and you felt way way way up in the sky. The food provided was insanely generous and yummy! Thank you! Would recommend this place in a heart beat 😊

Such a fantastic stay! The house was so well appointed and it was also great to have a little supermarket down the road too. All the windows overlook beautiful Australian bush and the bath is a must-do. The kitchen had everything we needed (we cooked at home over the three nights) and a fantastic coffee machine too. We had a very pleasant and calm 4-nights stay, the house is beautiful, comfy and well equipped. Surroundings and highlands lakes are beautiful and not crowded. The view from the terrasse is indeed stunning and the name of the place (stunning lake view) is deserved ! The host gave clear instructions, was friendly and immediately responsive each time we had to contact her. We do recommend it !

I stayed at Heidi’s place for one night and had a really great experience. The property is in a beautiful location with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The house was clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway close to nature. I’d love to come back again!

An amazingly peaceful and natural setting. We loved being completely off-grid and immersed in nature. We spent most of our time walking around the beautiful lake areas and watching the various deer herds. Kendra was a lovely host and we really enjoyed out time with her.

It was a simple, rustic, cosy and comfortable stay! Very cute interior for a shed fit out. A unique ‘shack’ concept, would highly recommend for a cosy weekend getaway. We had everything we needed, and also excellent communication! Thank you!

We loved our stay at Mark & Lynnete’s place. It was so cosy (we loved and made great use of the fireplace!), the outdoor bath was such a nice way to unwind after a big day of sightseeing, and we even got to meet Penelope the possum. It felt like we were worlds away from the city but it was only a 10-15 min drive. We would definitely recommend staying here!
