Overall experience was worthy according to time we had in his peaceful stay . Away from the busy cities . You want home away from real chaotic lifestyles. It provides that. View of the surroundings could be more enhanced if balcony of the apartment faced the real view. But won’t complain on that part as the view was seconds to walkable distance once you were downstairs. Place was tidy enough. Rahul himself was very responsive in taking care of his guest. Felt satisfied with the stay in this serene surrounding which had good market accessibility and good connectivity with the rest of the interesting places. So if want to plan a stay in quiet places, it worth the deal. As our plan was for 3 days but we eventually extended it .

It was a beautiful relaxing stay, the house was very comfortable. Great collection of board games and books. Delicious home cooked meals, very very warm staff. It just felt like home. Even our kids felt at home with a study-cum-play room with jigsaw puzzles and kids story books. Very thoughtfully done.

Amazing getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city life. A place worth visiting, and spending just one day is not enough! You can see the white peaks clearly early in the morning. Perfect to spend time with the loved ones. Road that leads to the stay is also really nice and you can easily take your car there too.

I had a wonderful stay at La Vie in the Mountains in Majkhali, Ranikhet, hosted by the warm and caring Sarika Verma. The location, 10 km from the main Ranikhet, was peaceful, scenic, and calm, with nearby short treks. The home was well-equipped and comfortable, and Trilok, the helpful caretaker, made sure everything was taken care of. Cleanliness was good, and although I expected towel and linen changes every 2-3 days, they were taken care of when requested. The terraces had spectacular views, though the Himalayan peaks were hazy. I enjoyed the presence of birds and cows. The homestay was perfect for work and meditation, with good connectivity. Sarika even arranged a ground-floor room for my elderly parents, catered to their food preferences, and ensured their comfort. I highly recommend La Vie in the Mountains for a peaceful and well-cared-for stay in Majkhali, Ranikhet!

A great place. Just what we wanted. The cottage - is not very old. Yet it is built in local fashion with local materials but with all modern 'living amenities' as listed. In keeping with the mountain terrain it is built at 'levels. 'Full of knick knacks, a fire place & so on.... All this gives it a very cosy , yet rustic feel, very authentic & lovable. The cottage does not have a 'living room', but that is compensated by the large verandah overlooking the property. Grand views all day. the owners were present in their other house on the property. Very friendly yet not intrusive. One does not expect such help full caretakers in a airbnb. The caretaker cum househelp cum handyman Mr. Bobby Singh who is on hand 24/7 is a gem. he cleans, cooks, advises(if asked). Plus there is Mr. Anand Singh who takes care of the 'grounds' of the property, who helps in procuring groceries & stuff. Two people to help !!! Almost like a serviced resort . Mass tourism hasnot made its way to these parts yet, as a result, the place is serene and calm. View of snow peaks right from your balcony is mesmerizing. There is not much to do, which is perfect. Raghuwar takes really good care of you and the food is simple and home like. It's a great option. Would definitely come again

Staying at Panchwati Farms, Prashant’s homestay in Almora, was an experience to remember. The highlight was the delicious Kumauni food—every dish was authentic, flavorful, and prepared with so much care. Prashant’s genuine warmth and attention to detail made the stay even more special, making me feel truly at home. We had an amazing stay at this beautiful jungle retreat. The last 1 km to the property is a steep ascent which we covered by a 4x4, which added to the adventure. The bungalow is tastefully done, super comfortable, and has all the modern amenities you’d need. It’s spread across three floors, and waking up to the sound of birds every morning was such a heartwarming experience. There’s a lovely machan on the property that offers stunning panoramic views of the jungle. It's great spot to just relax, enjoy the breeze, and take it all in. The caretakers were friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. Don’t miss the hike to the river! It’s a steep walk down, so if hiking isn't your thing, you can hire a gypsy ride for an additional fee (totally worth it). Overall, a peaceful, refreshing, and memorable getaway. Highly recommended!

The property is nestled in a quaint part of Majkhali, with easy access from the National Highway. There's 2 switchbacks and a short dirt trail + concrete road wide enough for one car leading to the property. Fairly easy to navigate through for anyone used to driving on the hills. The Chalet is as described in the pictures, and is maintained well by the hosts. The bedrooms aren't too cramped, and the bathrooms are neat. The kitchen had all basic cutlery, crockery, and glassware. The food menu has most of the basic varieties and local choices included, and the cook, Harish, prepares a fine meal. Being in a hamlet, we were asked to place our food orders a few hours in advance, which was completely understandable for the staff to go out and buy fresh produce. The caretaker, Paan Singh, is super jovial, and always ready to assist in anything required. I spent 3 days here with my parents, and we went back satisfied with the experience and the hosting.
