Wonderful place to stay in Unawatuna. Close to everything, easy to get bus/Tuktuk but such a peaceful environment gorgeous house and gardens. Lovely dogs who were so quiet at night. Ajith was really helpful and accommodating to extra requests. Lovely breakfast each morning.

It is always a pleasure when a stay lives up to expectations. Darshaka and his Family exceeded our expectations definitely. They were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. The location was close enough to the beach but very quiet except for birdsong and the odd monkey call. He also organised tours for us which were great. We will come again.

One of our best stays in Sri Lanka! The brothers welcomed us with warm smiles from the minute we stepped on the property. The room was simple and clean with a good bed, mosquito net, ceiling fan and excellent bathroom. The location is amazing as it is a short walk to the city and and touristy area. The natural swimming area was lovely and only a 15 minute walk away. the beach is not even a 5 minute walk away. Guyan (one of the brothers) even came with us surfing one day! A lovely quiet homestay where we felt safe and welcomed. Would definitely recommend!

Ich war alleine unterwegs und habe ein paar Tage in dieser Unterkunft in Mirissa verbracht. Der Aufenthalt war insgesamt sehr angenehm. Besonders die Lage ist hervorragend – ruhig, aber dennoch nah am Strand und ideal, um zu entspannen. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war in Ordnung. Die Unterkunft selbst hat Charme und bietet eine solide Basis, besonders für Alleinreisende. Allerdings ist die Inneneinrichtung schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Vor allem das Badezimmer hätte eine Auffrischung nötig: Die Dusche war etwas heruntergekommen, der Duschkopf wirkte nicht mehr richtig sauber, und der Toilettendeckel war leider kaputt. Auch die Wände wirkten stellenweise beschmiert, und der Wasserhahn am Waschbecken sah ziemlich ranzig aus. Es wäre schön, wenn in Zukunft einige dieser Dinge erneuert oder saniert würden – das würde den Aufenthalt deutlich aufwerten. Trotz dieser kleineren Mängel habe ich mich wohlgefühlt und würde bei einer entsprechenden Renovierung gerne wiederkommen.

Chaminda and his family are truly beautiful. I came as a guest and left as family. They are kind, friendly, attentive and true in their genuine hospitality. The room they have is great and the surroundings are fabulous. 5 mins to beautiful beaches and 20 mins inland to an amazingly peaceful temple set within the jungle. I was lucky to have a group of semi local lads staying near me who work locally on a site and whom were so friendly and welcoming. If you want to experience Sri Lanka and the heart of the people who make this country so beautiful and then stay here, for it is a special place owned by a magical family 🙏

Amazing stay with the most wonderful staff. Thank you so much to Indi, Kelum and Anil for taking such good care of us. We stayed for over a month and we were made to feel at home for the whole stay. The garden and pool area is so relaxing, the view from the kitchen and dining area is lovely and the location is ideal. Could not recommend Ebb and Flow enough. Thank you again to all of the team! x

This awesome house is run by a very sweet family who are easy to communicate with and always do their best to help. The location is in a very green and quiet area away from the hustle and bustle with a beautiful Buddhist temple and green rice fields nearby with lots peacocks (and all kinds of birds) around. I stayed at this house for two months and it has been a delight.

Sumi och hans familj är otroligt trevliga och känner till området och Sri Lanka väldigt väl. De hjälpte mig med att boka olika turer och gav jättebra rekommendationer. Rummet hade en fantastisk utsikt, bra AC och allt jag behövde. Jag rekommenderar verkligen detta boende.

Despite an address issue due to Google map, we really enjoyed our stay. we though we would be inland at the back of Hiriketiya beach. we were instead nicely secluded by a rocky little cove, no tourists except for us... Ranjith was very helpful in getting to us by scooter and paying for a tuk-tuk to repatriate us to his property. we were welcomed with a breath taking view and drinks... the room, if small is comfortable and clean. Its size is well compensated by a outside shaded area were you can enjoy peace and relaxation. breakfast was one of the best we had with airbnb host. highly recommended for nature lovers who want to stand out out of the way of mass tourism.

Als wir ankamen,hat uns die gesamte Familie sehr freundlich mit einem leckeren Obstsaft empfangen und ruckzuck war das Gepäck schon nach oben gebracht. Die Zimmer und die Küche sind im 1.Stock umgehen von einem tollen Garten mit allerlei Vogelstimmen.Wir waren immer beim Frühstück unten und die Familie hat uns jeden Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen. Will man zum Strand oder in die Stadt kann man die 200 Meter zu Fuß zur Haustrasse gehen und ein Tuck Tuck anhalten, wenn man Glück hat erwischt man auch eines direkt vor dem Anwesen. Alles in allem supernette Gastgeber und ein wirklich tolles Anwesen

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Der Garten ist einfach traumhaft – ideal zum Entspannen und Genießen der frischen Luft. Renate und das Personal waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Besonders das Frühstück war hervorragend. Einzige kleine Wermutstropfen waren dass die Hunde in der einen Nacht etwas länger gebellt hatten und dass während unseres Aufenthaltes kein Yoga angeboten wurde. Die Nutzung der Yoga-Fläche war jedoch möglich.

We loved staying here! Isuru and his family were so welcoming and helped us with everything we needed. They gave us good recommendations for food, surf instructors and snorkeling, and they made the most delicious breakfast for us every morning! The area is quiet which we really liked, and it took us five minutes to walk to the beach for surfing. If you’re into running/walking the area is perfect for this as well! We would definitely love to come back :)

Die Unterkunft bei Jasmin ist ein wahrer Traum. Alles war sehr liebevoll und die Terrasse mit der Hängematte wird uns immer im Kopf bleiben. Auch die süßen Hunde, die uns sogar zum Strand begleitet haben und das leckere Frühstück waren wirklich toll. Schönste Unterkunft auf der ganzen Reise. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt hier. Das Zimmer war sauber, die Terrasse ein tolles Plus. Ganz toll war auch das Trinkwasser, das zu Verfügung gestellt wird. Manoj und seine Familie haben uns jeden Morgen ein top Frühstück direkt auf unsere Terrasse serviert. In 2 Minuten ist man am schönen ruhigen Strand, wo man schwimmen und surfen kann. Manoj war jederzeit erreichbar und hat schnell geantwortet und geholfen. Alles wunderbar, hier macht man nichts falsch :)

had an amazing experience staying at Bathiya's place! From the moment I arrived, He made me feel incredibly welcome. The space was just as described—clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights of my trip was definitely the food! The dumplings and pancakes served at the property were absolutely delicious—highly recommend trying them. The flavors were incredible, and you can tell they were made with a lot of care. It was such a nice bonus to enjoy home-cooked meals during my stay. Bathiya went above and beyond to ensure I had a great time, offering local tips and being responsive to any questions I had. The location was perfect, with easy access to Beach and restaurants around making it the ideal spot for exploring the area. I truly appreciated Bathiya's hospitality and attention to detail. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area..

My first place I stayed at in Sri Lanka and I really enjoyed it. Many travelers Iet raved about it also but in comparison to other places they'd stayed. Liked: The complimentary breakfasts that were great. The ac rooms. The monkeys on the roof! The super friendly and smiling neighbors. Short walk to the beach. Deck to sit on and read was peaceful. Washing machine. Bottled water to use. Didn't like: The kitchen wasn't as stocked as I'd like. The spices could use labeling and a refeash, the knives needed sharpening too. A cutting board would be nice (could help keep knives sharp longer too). Overall it wasn't so much a house stay as I was expecting, but more like a hostel of sorts. I loved it and would recommend.

My stay at the Native was great. Diana and everyone who works there are so friendly and helpful. It was nice to be a little inland from the beach and see a different part of Weligama. Definitely walkable, but renting a scooter makes it more convenient. The breakfasts and coffee in the morning were all very delicious and a very nice added value to the room. Thank you for the great stay!
