Our retreat is opposite the vast reserve surrounding you with bird song and walks into the lush New Zealand native bush. Enjoy an easy bike to town or "The Lions Walk" on the lakefront on our electric bikes, a super way to see the sights and come home smiling.

We are in easy reach of some of NZ's' most stunning hikes. An Easy 40 minutes to Whakapapa ski field and Tongariro Crossing, local river walks, supermarket and eateries 10 mins. The kitchen has been renovated and is equipped with electrical stove, new dishwasher, portable gas cooktop (can be used outdoor), microwave, fridge, kettle, air-fryer, and toaster; teabags and instant coffee are provided. A washing machine and a new heat pump cloth dryer are also provided for free.

We are a working professional couple who have lived in Taupo for 30 years. We would like to wish a warm welcome to singles or couples. We do not accommodate infants, children or animals. We are a hop, skip and a jump from the stunning Taupo lake front and easy 25 minute stroll in to town, 3 minutes by car. Happy to host short or longer stays. Super convenient location for our Taupo events such as pickups for the Tongariro Crossing, skydiving & various lake activities.
