From my time conversing with Jocelyn around planing our trip I found her to be a very kind, responsive, and receptive host. As for our stay at The Athena Cabin. It was picturesque and wonderfully cozy for our group of 10. The rent was a little expensive for us, however no part of our experience felt cheap. The kitchen is well stocked. The house was spotless. The neighbours were friendly. The only problem my group had was our lack of preparation for the lack of potable drinking water (2024), which that was easily remedied by a trip to a near by grocery store mentioned by a provided list of important near by locations. Overall, I think the cabin is well worth the price for anyone who can fill it up and is looking for a classier getaway. Everyone in my group had a great time staying here and we would love to come again in the future. P.S - Something she doesn’t mention is how pretty the sunsets is on the lake. It was so beautiful we all went out to see.

Host made sure we had everything we needed. Lots of games and activities for the kids, all our questions were answered ahead of time. Very positive experience, will recommend to friends!

The place is great. About 20-25 minutes from New Liskeard, which has everything you need, including great restaurant, 28 on the Lake. The view from the cottage/veranda is beautiful. Cottage has its own boat ramp, which worked well for us. The hot tub was amazing, we really used it a lot. The sauna also worked well. Cottage was clean and everything worked. And, finally, Katrin was extremely fast with her responses and her answers were always helpful.

The place was magical and peaceful. We should’ve went last month as it was very cold and fall almost over but we had a great time regardless!

Lesley was a fabulous host. Our family totally enjoyed our time staying right on the rivers edge with a stunning view. The cabin and bunkie have a cozy vibe but tons of room for our extended family. There are lots of amenities to enjoy creating a great getaway. It was a special experience- the setting, the peace and the memories made. Can’t wait to return!

We wanted a place to stay that was relatively close to Antoine Mountain, and a place that was peaceful and private. We were so lucky to find Alan's place, 15 minutes from Antoine Mountain, and only a few minutes from Mattawa (which had any food and supplies that we needed). We stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our experience in the cabin. Alan was very helpful from the time we checked in until we checked out - always respecting our privacy. The cabin had all we needed to be cozy and comfortable. The hot tub was a wonderful perk after skiing each day! We look forward to going back in the warmer months to be able to take advantage of how close the cabin is to various canoe routes and hiking trails. Thank you, Alan, for making it a great mini-vacation!

My stay at the AAT has very swiftly placed itself in one of my top Airbnb stays! The cottage was exactly as described, accessible, beautiful and full of amenities for guests to use. The location itself is breathtaking, located on a bluff overtop the French River (the stairs are not for the weak but so worth it to relax on the dock by the water!) We took advantage of the dock, the hot tub, the fire pit and we especially loved that we could cook dinner while hanging out in the dining area all together with the open concept. The road to reach the house is a bit of a rough terrain but this is all outlined in the listing and didn't bother us, just a heads up to make sure your tires on your car are on tight! Heather really seemed to think of all the details with this Airbnb and we did not go without. A short drive for lots of different hikes (French River Provincial Park and Killarney Provincial Park) or the perfect place to cozy up in the rain with a book on your birthday! (I did both!).

Robert and Nicole were super friendly upon arrival. They showed us the place and things to do and explained everything perfectly! The outdoor shower was a 10/10 experience. I feel that everyone should stay here at least once!

Jason and his wife, Candice were very friendly hosts. The cabin was everything Jason described it as. He even gave my some extra blankets to keep myself warm at night, and made sure in general that I was happy with my stay. I’d definitely 10/10 come back!

Abi was super friendly, highly responsive, and an overall amazing host. Eggs were great. Cabin was great. You can contact her for any help you need but otherwise she’ll leave you to do your own thing. Fishing was great here as well. There’s a paddle boat, row boat, kayaks and canoes. This place you can tell is constantly getting updated so the description on Airbnb might be outdated. They seriously underpromise and overdeliver despite how thorough the listing is. 10/10 will be back!

Ali’s place was a perfect spot for a winter weekend getaway. Beautiful cabin in a great location, close to ski trails and ice fishing. The place is well stocked and Ali was very helpful with communication. Would absolutely stay here again.

Daniel's place was exactly what you see in the posting. very quiet at night and I had a restful couple of days. Daniel was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to highlight good restaurants and points of interest in the area.

My partner and I had a great time relaxing at the cozy cabin! 20 minute drive from anything which was nice to have a peaceful time. The cabin was clean and we felt safe the entire time. Overall great time

Great place to chill out for a few days. The cottage and surroundings were quiet and beautiful. As for the hosts, Tina was really nice and easy to communicate with and her recommandations made everything easy. I highly recommend her and her husband’s cottage!

An absolutely stellar place to get away from it all. The lake, just steps from the door, was beautiful and the small mouth bass we caught, tasty! We took our two older pups and they give it two paws up. They highly recommend lounging on the back deck to watch the ducks and beavers go by. We definitely recommend getting out on the water, looking back at the cabin you get to see just how amazing it all is. While rustic, Paul & Tannis have created an inviting space worth visiting...again and again.

Such a great place to go if you want to disconnect from everything. Cabin was spotless. Fred and Linda are extremely welcoming and friendly. You can be as active as you want. Found my favorite spot sitting at the end of the dock reading and watching the clouds go by.

If you are looking for a place that is cozy and quiet, and if you want to enjoy Canada's nature this is the perfect stay. The forest and lake are beautiful. Hosts Kathy and Michael are very kind and helpful and the cabin has all the basics for a comfortable stay. My partner and I enjoyed our 4 day at the cabin a lot!

Very peaceful and secluded. Just what I was looking for. Great & reasonably priced especially if you’re looking for a nice little “local” honeymoon spot. Next time I think I would rent a kayak to better access the water, but my dog sure had fun playing in it and a nice little trail that leads down.

Had an amazing stay here! Would definitely recommend for a nice get away trip. My husband and I came up for a long weekend with our dog. This place had everything we needed, and felt just like home! Very cozy and modern place. The hosts were very friendly and easy to communicate with, and they made sure we had everything we could need for our stay! We will definitely be returning in the future!

Beautiful cabin located on a great spot on Trout lake. 5 of us had a great time snowmobiling around North Bay and enjoy the hot tub at night. Thanks for having us!

My friends and I all try to meet up once a year for an outdoors getaway now that we are spread across Ontario. This was a central location, so we picked it based on the advertised features and photos. What we arrived to was above and beyond what we could have hoped for. A beautiful and secluded getaway on a forested slice of the French River, with plenty of space to house all 5 of us, cook excellent meals indoors in the kitchen and out on the grill, spend all day either hiking, canoeing/kayaking, or swimming in the river. The hosts were excellent, and helped us haul in (and out) some of our heavier gear. We were even able to hike some instruments in and put on a 5-man band performance, all to ourselves (and whatever woodland creatures ended up hearing us!). The hike in and river-pastimes were a perfect match for our fit and active group, but a quieter experience would have certainly been possible had that been what we were after! All in all, would we come back? YES!

Chantelle and I had a enjoyable stay at Cabin in the Woods. We were blessed with excellent snowmobiling conditions; which was the purpose of our trip. Thanks Lori for your Hospitality.
