We love this place and have stayed here twice! It’s your classic, pretty log cabin with everything you could need or want, including a hot tub and a fire pit! It’s set in the woods but also only 15 minutes from a gas station/mart for last minute supplies. We enjoyed our time!

We loved our stay at the cabin and especially loved feeding the horses!! :) would stay again

Glad we finally got to stay here. Have had it saved for a special occasion. Loved everything about our stay. The location was great, within walking distance of some great restaurants. We will be back.

Excellent two night stay. We would reiterate everything the other commentators have said about The Loch at WhiskyWood. Our day was spent with a late breakfast, a one hour drive through Amish country to Horican Wildlife Refuge. Spring migration on the boardwalk trail is not to be missed. A return drive to Montello to see the falls, walk the lakefront trail and view Wisconsin's Tallest Tree (debatable). An Old Fashioned (A requirement for any Wisconsin vacation) at Rivers Edge Saloon, grocery stop at Freitags, then back to WhiskeyWood for grilled steak al fresco - indoors, but with the garage door open. It's the same thing. Evening thunderstorms finished the day. Such a great day and a spectacular cabin!

This was the perfect spot for our girls weekend getaway. The view was gorgeous, and the cabin was immaculate. They did a great job with the renovations, and it was super cute. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a cute little spot for a getaway. One of my girlfriends said she is hoping to book it for this summer. thank you Amanda for your hospitality!

Such a beautiful spot to relax and take in the Finger Lakes region! The home is gorgeous, amenities pristine and the personal touches such as s’more fixins and coffee were so appreciated. It is off the beaten path of the main wine trails and that is exactly what we were looking for! We got to explore a hike or a few wineries and then head back to the peace and quiet and enjoy our wine in the comfort of the home. Our kids loved exploring the trails on the property, the game room was such a perfect bonus and Naples has such good restaurants and wineries/breweries that we didn’t have to travel to more populated areas unless we wanted. Perfect for families as the streaming tv, game room and kids area on a different floor allowed for our kids to have a blast and us parents to watch a movie and read upstairs. Perfect setup. Such a recharging and beautiful trip! We hope to be back!

This place was great for a quiet, peaceful sisters weekend. It was rainy which was perfect to just read, eat and watch the wildlife right outside the glass patio door. We saw 3 different kinds of woodpeckers, squirrels and even a few frogs! We were still able to enjoy soaking in the hot tub, which is very private. There is nothing but woods behind the cabin. The inside is really cute and very comfortable, also very clean. There is a tv for movie nights and WiFi for streaming services. The kitchen had everything we needed also. Highly recommend!

Super clean space that had everything we needed. Even with the main house close it still felt private with the entrance and hot tub facing the field. Communication was easy and everything went smoothly!

My Husband and I absolutely loved the cabin. It was a great small spacious place for just the two of us. It was very clean while taking care of.. we actually added two more stays and she was very nice and responsive. Absolutely love the place and will be returning when we go back up there.

I do not give five stars often. to me five stars means perfect, and this was perfect for my wife and I. We have country dogs that need space, we like it quiet, and this gave us that. The trails, the wildlife, and the lake all give the feel that you are at your own private resort. The cabin was Goldy Locks might say, "just right."

Great host, the cinnamon bread is the best! Awesome secluded place in the woods, super quite and highly recommend it!

We love it there. This was our second time in the cabin, and third time on their properties. The place is so warm and inviting. Extremely private, clean, and had everything in the kitchen to cook with. Can’t wait to go back. Melanie was extremely accommodating, and even allowed us another hour to sleep in. 5 Star all day long!!😀

We planned a last minute getaway to Linda & Robert’s place and it was wonderful. My husband and I were looking for a simple, secluded place with space to explore and be immersed in nature with our dog. This “rustic retreat” was just what we had hoped for and more. It is exactly how it is described, no surprises. Before booking, we read the listing description that was provided, viewed all of the photos and loved reading all of the glowing reviews. We were sold! We loved the long drive into the property and the wildlife seen along the way. The trails on the property are such a treat and so much fun to explore. The windows in the cabin were just as described….AWESOME!Puzzles and campfires were our source of relaxation, after dark. Linda and Robert are great hosts and communication was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent at the rustic retreat and would highly recommend it to others. :)

This place is a hidden gem! Perfect place to relax and unwind. The lake and house is beautiful. Dan is very responsive. The cabin is so cozy and cute! Perfect location

Everything is just as described. Perfect place to disconnect from the world. Craig is an amazing host! I will definitely be returning next year. If you’re a fisherman, bring your gear. Plenty of pike in the lake but be advised entire lake is very shallow. Had good luck with a #4 Mepps-yellow/orange with a gold blade. Good cell service with Verizon. Dollar General just 5 miles away for any last minute needs. Thanks Craig!

This cabin was a great and beautiful time, in a very nice town. Very private and the host is easy to contact with clear instructions. Definitely recommend and hope return another time!

What a fantastic stay! The views are incredible with more than enough space for the kids to run around the property. Robin was very responsive in answering any questions we had and heading into town is a beautiful drive.

We didn't end up staying at this location because of an unexpected medical emergency, but we still give five stars because our host was extremely kind and understanding through the entire process. We would definitely recommend

Fantastic place, I really liked the decor as it wasn’t like a classic log cabin but was more modern. The kitchen was very nice and location was great for fishing on the manistee. I highly recommend it!

Debbie was a wonderful and friendly host. She was very communicative and personally guided us to our cabin. Everything was just as described and my family and I definitely enjoyed being so in touch with nature and loved the sound and sighting of the frogs. Looking forward to visiting again.

The Trappers Cabin on the River was a perfect little weekend getaway. The grounds and lodging were tidy and pleasant. A warm fall weekend provided the perfect opportunity for canoeing the river and enjoying a campfire. We're already looking forward to our next visit!
