Tesco , Kennington Park ,a few restaurants along the street , Clapham High Street with all the restaurants and bars is not far. 20 mins ride on the tube will get you to the very centre of London. The neighbourhood is a great diverse mix and it's very friendly. The best thing about this area - it's in the middle of most places you would like to visit using the tube or busses.
