Recognized as the most majestic of all royal tombs, Minh Mang Tomb, in reality, is a great complex of 40 small sites. Located in Huong Tho Commune, Huong Tra District, right on the west bank of Perfume River, Minh Mang tomb was begun building in 1840 under the reign of King Minh Mang. In 1841, after King Minh Mang’s death, Kinh Thieu Tri continued the remained task, according to the plan of his father. Finally, this monument was finished 2 years later.As seen now, Minh Mang Tomb is a large complex of constructions, including temples, palaces, pavilions, and so on.
